What do Russian women want in western men?

It’s a long-overused cliché of Hollywood movies: the fat, hairy, Speedo-wearing rich guy of indeterminate origin–but probably Russian or Middle Eastern–surrounded by hot blond, American women on his yacht. The imagery is a sort of shorthand or code for what a certain type of American woman is looking for in a man: money, money, money.

And there is some truth in this image; there are indeed hot women who will date any man that has money. And there are indeed rich guys who surround themselves with hot women–women they would otherwise have no chance of hanging out with, were it not for their cash.

But let’s flip the script for a minute. Yes, there is an ideal of the ‘beautiful American woman,’ blond hair, blue eyes, California-perfect teeth, tall and lithe, tanned and prone to laughter, free and open to anything–as long as it’s fun. And who wouldn’t want to be with a girl like that, right?

The thing is, not all of us have the gifts–financial or otherwise–that allow us access to date American women like that.

So here’s the question: what about women from other countries?

For instance, Russia.

I mean, damn, son. Have you SEEN some of the Russian women out there these days? Models, athletes, newscasters, actresses–they are AMAZING. And they often have a lot in common with that California type we were just talking about! They’re often just as tall, just as blond, and just as beautiful as their California counterparts.

So we can all admit we wouldn’t mind an opportunity to meet single Russian women, right? That’s a no-brainer.

But here’s the more tricky question, fellas: what are beautiful Russian women looking for in a man?

Now, if you’re lucky enough to own your own yacht–and your own Speedos–you don’t need any help. But if you’re like me, you’re at least curious about the cultural differences that might exist when it comes to humble American guys who want to date Russian women.

Well, for one thing, I can tell you from experience, money is not as important as you might think. Now, of course, pretty Russian women are like women anywhere: they vary. Yes, there are sexy Russian women who are gold-diggers, no doubt. Just like their American counterparts. But there are also plenty of sweet, humble girls just looking to broaden their horizons.

Granted, given the current trouble the Russian economy is facing, there are thousands and thousands of available Russian women looking for men in other countries where they might have better opportunities.

But if you talk to a few of them, what you find is that there are also plenty of gorgeous Russian women out there who are just as interested in finding a life-partner.

If you want to date Russian women, one of the first things you are going to have to realize is that honesty is paramount. There are plenty of Russian women for marriage out there, but culturally Russians are more likely to value truthfulness and being upfront to slick seduction lines and mind games.

It’s another old cliché, but it’s just as true today as it was thousands of years ago: the best thing you can do when meeting someone new is to simply be yourself. After all, if you’re putting on a mask, sooner or later she’s going to see through it, isn’t she?

And believe me, with Russian women–especially with Russian women looking for men, honesty is your friend. These ladies, generally speaking, do not fall for tired games and lame pick-up artist trickery. They may be beautiful Russian women, but they come from a tough place. Be yourself, be honest, and you’ll see results with single Russian women!
